Will it fit my keyboard?

A little check now makes for a happier keyboard later.

1. Identify your keyboard and switches

Find your exact keyboard model and check the manufacturer’s switch information. Our starter keycaps are intended for compatible MX-style switches. Do not assume that laptop, low-profile or membrane keyboards use the same fitting.

2. Check key position and clearance

Check the product notes against the key you want to replace. Decorative keycaps may be taller or wider than your existing caps. Make sure they have room to move without touching neighbouring keys.

3. Fit with care

Follow your keyboard manufacturer’s instructions and use an appropriate keycap puller. Remove the old cap carefully, align the new cap with the switch stem and press gently. Stop if it does not fit freely.
